Travel Hiatus

I will be traveling to England later today (July 24) where I will be speaking at a conference. I will be visiting the Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex (where the Elder Sophrony is buried) following the conference. The upshot of all of that is that I will be able to check the website only sporadically  (if at all) for the next week. I ask your prayers for myself and my wife as we travel (as I will pray for all of you).

May God keep all of you and reveal His joy in your hearts!

    Have a safe and blessed trip. Will any of your talks be recorded so we can hear them?

    “O Lord Jesus Christ our God, the True and Living Way, be Thou, O Master, a Companion, Guide, and Guardian to Thy servants, the Archpriest Stephen and Matushka Beth, during their journey; deliver and protect them from all danger, misfortune, and temptation, that being so defended by Thy Divine Power they may have a peaceful and successful journey, arrive safely at their destination, and return again safely to their home. For in Thee do we put our trust and hope, and to Thee do we ascribe Praise, Honor, and Glory, together with Thine Eternal Father and Thine All-Holy and Life-Creating Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.”

    MANY YEARS to you both, Reverend Father!

    Father Stephen, may The Lord bless your journey and grant you and your wife His grace throughout your stay and beyond.

    From a purely selfish point of view I feel devastated as I will be away from. London next week and so I’ll miss the opportunity to see you in person. Seeing you with Fr Zacharias, Fr Kyrillos and Fr Melchisedek in one place would be quite a blessing!

    Your blessing, Father.

    Father Stephen, May the Lord protect you and Matushka Beth in your journeys. I was so happy to see you both at the Diocesan Assembly in Dallas. Please pray for our parish, SS Peter and Paul in Miami and remember us as you visit the grave of Elder Sophrony.
    “The Lord bless you and keep you;
    The Lord make His face shine upon you,
    And be gracious to you;
    The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
    And give you peace.”’
