Well, yes, the numbers are impressive, but the richness and fullness of Father Stephen’s posts and replies go way beyond what one might glean at a typical Olympic Stadium event. Not apples and oranges, but apples and a one-storey universe.
I think the figures reflect your always thought-provoking and often humbling posts. Not only that, but you have attracted a following of well-informed and interesting commentators.

I pray that the posts hold to that. It’s where I hope to live my life – both when I write – and when breathe, eat and drink, etc. Best of the New Year!
The truth is difficult. I will continue to share the truth here – the truth God has given me. I generally do not engage in polemical conversation (except when I do). In my experience, argument and logical apologetic are almost never effective in the cause of the Gospel – it’s more mysterious than that. Thus, they play a role, but not the one we think. And last, it is the Gospel (which utterly transcends our logical efforts) which will save the world and all that are in it. I pray for us in this New Year.

(On the other hand, I’m a bit uncomfortable to learn that I am reported to be the “most active” commenter on the blog. :-P)

‘Glory to God for all things’ is one of the few internet spaces I delight in visiting. I give thanks to God that you can maintain a space so full of an irenic, kind, and gentle spirit, while continuing to generate such thoughtful reflection and discussion that so many (thousands!) can benefit from.
I pray you continue to live what you preach; it is palpable and makes all the difference.
