I Pause to Give Thanks

Numbers only mean so much – but Glory to God for All Things passed the 200,000 views mark this morning – all since late October. I generally write at night before going to bed – it clears my head and puts a better ending on the day.  I am deeply moved that so many (and from so many places across the globe) read, and share kind comments and questions. May God bless all of you who visit and read. I thank you for your prayers. Without them I am sure I could not write.

It goes without saying that your blog encouraged me (and others, I’m sure) to start my own, and that has brought its own impact on my life. However, “Glory to God For All Things” encourages me to do greater things than merely write. More important and meaningful things like forgiving, loving my enemies, praying, and desiring to be ever curious and thoughtful toward God.

It’s a blessed thing to peer into the thoughts and get to know the heart of such a wonderful man as yourself.
(I even have you as a favorite on my Web-enabled mobile phone so that I can check in with you anytime.) I am so very grateful to know you and your family and to be able to attend and serve your parish.

Thank you, Father Stephen. May God bless and keep you.

Fr Stephen, I pray continual blessing upon you and thank you for your writings on this blog. I know that they have served as one of the avenues through which God has directed my family to Orthodoxy. It has blessed our lives so much.

I look forward to your writings each day.

It is my belief, and most of your readers would probably agree, that 200,000 views is not an accurate reflection of the impact you are having in the blogosphere and in the “real” world. This blog is a ministry. You minister to us and to many others through the sharing of your wisdom and you example of humility. Thank you for all you do.

Thank you, father for writing your blog. I read it virtually everyday and it is stimulating and challenging to read.

I am currently in Bellac in rural France and there is no orthodox church nearby so your blog is one of my sources of information guidance and thought.

I first encountered Orthodox in the Oxfordshire Ecumenical Council where the two – now three – Orthodox parishes were very active and very thought provoking too – especially as I was reading some Patristic works at the time in my own spiritual journey as a Quaker.

May I suggest “many years” may be a suitable refrain.

    Father bless,

I am currently reading through the archives from the very beginning. Your writing has been a blessing to me and a challenge to my modernist thinking, which I wasn’t even aware of until I started reading your material. I rejoice that I have a lot of reading ahead until I reach 2019. (I also read the current ones). Thanks so much!
