Blessings on the Feast!

When He came down and confused the tongues,

The Most High divided the nations;

but when He distributed the tongues of fire,

He called all people to unity.

Therefore, with one voice we glorify the most-Holy Spirit.

Kontakion of Pentecost

Please forgive my absence from the blog for the last few days. I have been conducting a youth retreat at a monastery in South Carolina and have been away from computers (and several other amenities). I’ll catch things up tomorrow evening. Thank you for your patience. A good feast of Pentecost (Troitsa) to all of you!

    Glad you are back Father, I was thinking perhaps you were at the Pan-Orthodox Emergency Responder Training.

    Right now I feel a bit of “Emptiness from Fr Stephen.” When will he be back? 🙂

    I hope to sit and write some tomorrow. It was a pretty exhausting week – the retreat (with 12-14 year-olds) which began with about 6 hours of driving and ended with 6 hours of driving, followed by the Vigil of Pentecost, this morning’s Liturgy, followed by the Kneeling Vespers of Pentecost. It just takes a little time to rest the brain and body. I’m almost afraid to open my email, I haven’t been there since Tuesday. Your prayers and encouragement are appreciated. 🙂
