Father, while I suppose it doesn’t serve the purpose of humility :-), I can’t thank you or praise you enough for this blog. Without question, it’s in the very top tier of Orthodox, and probably Christian, blogs, and hits on all cylinders: depth, accessibility, frequency of posts and, perhaps most importantly, edification for our journey in Christ.
Your writings here, and on Pontifications earlier, have had a major influence on my likely entrance into the Orthodox Church. Please pray for me, a struggling sinner.
Phil,
Thank you for your kind words. I can have no greater joy than to know of your journey to Orthodoxy. May God keep you and guide you and may He fill you with all the fullness of Christ!
Father,
As per Phil I too thank you for the time, love and effort you put into this blog. Your work is a blessing to my journey in Christ and my entry into the Church.
Father,
I just noticed that your post on “The Passion to Consume” is The featured “Religion” blog on the WordPress sign-in page. Many Years! 🙂
Dear Father Stephen,
Congratulations on this milestone; perhaps, more properly, thank you. Echoing the others, I can say that your blog played no small part in our family’s journey to Orthodoxy. We were baptised Christmas Eve, 2007.
Your blog has taught me so much, not only by what you say, but by many instances of your humility, of your kind and steadfast standing in the truth.
Kind regards,
Patty
May God grant many more years to this edifying work!
Father,
Thank you for your blog. It has really helped me in becoming Orthodox. I’ve been reading your blog for sometime and now I’ve recently left the Roman Catholic Church and have been attending an Orthodox Church in America parish for the past three weeks. I love the Orthodox faith, the faith of the Apostles.
Thanks,
Dave
